Elisabeth Moritz (Swedish, b. 1956) is a Malmö‑based artist whose practice centers on drawing and photographic cut‑outs. Educated at the art academy in Paris, she continued working in a Belleville studio until 1998, when she returned to Sweden to further develop her visual language. Her work often engages with the body as motif and with the layered histories embedded in family archives, including research into her German roots and the period surrounding National Socialism.

Moritz has exhibited widely, including at Avesta Art and Hjortnäs Handel Galleri , and her works are represented in collections such as Moderna Museet. She continues to explore the intersection of memory, photography, and drawing from her studio in Malmö.
